Popped that Wormhole Cherry

 Finally got around to jumping into a wormhole. I started out with Ashy's Myrmidon fit, because the over all cost for the ship was less than 100 million isk. The fitting rules for Eve Online must have changed between the time that Ashy made their fit and my picking the ship to run sites, because the Myrmidon no longer allows you to use 2 Armor Command Burst modules at one time.

The Myrmidon is equipped with a probe scanner, but to have it on I have to turn off pretty much all my other active modules. As a result, I needed to warp to a location and turn off the probe launcher, then wait for my capacitor to recharge to turn back on the other active modules. I learned the almost hard way you do need both of your Armor Repairs, so make sure you take the time to allow your capacitor to recharge as many times as you need to get all the modules back on.

The first site I ran in a C2 wormhole was a Perimeter Checkpoint. I ran this site with the Armor Reinforcement Charge without much issue. You do want to use a split on your drones; 2 Acolyte II and 3 Praetor II.

The second site I ran in the same wormhole was a Perimeter Hanger. This one I had to warp out of as I was taking more damage than I could tank and repair. While out of the site I switched to the Rapid Repair Command Bursts and returned to the site. The Rapid Repair bursts made all the difference, and I was able to complete this site.

According to Ashy those are the only sites that the Myrmidon are made for, so I will be recouping the cost of the Myrmidon for a while and then hopefully moving on to bigger and better ships.

One thing I am going to pick up on my next trip to Known Space is a Mobile Depot and an Afterburner or Microwarp Drive as the Myrmidon is a very slow ship without a prop mod leaving you to have to slow boat between the wrecks to pick up your loot.

My Take Aways:

• Get a prop mod and mobile depot
• Use a split drone deployment
• Get More of the Drones you use, sell off either the Hammerhead or Hobgoblins 
• Leave your drones inside the ship until you are close enough to engage the rats as the rats will target your drones
• The rats in both sites like to target drones, pay attention to their health
