Wormholes are essential randomly generated short cuts across the New Eden world.

There are 2 ways to find wormholes, either listed as an Unknown Wormhole in the overview or as a Unknown Cosmic signature in the Probe Scanner window. When you see it in your overview this is typically called a Drifter. Where as a wormhole that is scanned down with probes in your Probe Scanner window can be a variety of types or Classes.
